ASBO 2009

It has been another busy year for the ASBO Team.  Once again we have been tidying the roadsides around the village as well as clearing some of the footpaths and verges. Early on in the year we gave the bus shelter a tidy up and a coat of paint and were delighted that it was renamed ‘The Ritz’ by a well wisher.  We were also asked if we would undertake an inside job of redecorating the Conference room in the Village Hall so this was done at the end of November.

To make life easier and tackle larger pieces of work we requested funding from the Co-op Community Fund for a Brushcutter and received sufficient monies for a machine and the appropriate safety equipment.  We also received a small sum from O2 community project that afforded us some replacement tools and some bulbs.  We have a bid in to the Pilton show funds to pay for fuel and further spares for the next 12 months.

By the end of the year we will have planted another 400+ bulbs around the village and the plan is for more next year.

Thank you to all those who support us and if you can think of a small piece of work that would enhance the village please let one of the Team know.

A Happy Christmas and a healthy 2010 to you all.
