LATEST NEWS FOR THE ASBO'S

Good news for the ASBO Team. We have just been given a financial award from the Co-operative Community Fund to enable us to purchase a Brushcutter and safety equipment. This we have done and have now started to put it to good use.

This will mean we can tackle slightly tougher undergrowth and should make our work a great deal easier, so a massive thanks to The Co-operative Group.

You may have noticed some extra daffodil bulbs on the sides of the road around the village well this started when we were given over 200 bulbs by a generous family who thought we had done a wonderful job on clearing the top of John Beale Hill. For a specially negotiated price we bought some more bulbs out of our funds and spread them across the village. For a first year they have done well so let’s hope they settle in and give us all a lovely early splash of colour for years to come.

We are continuing our activities around the village so if you believe that there is some clearing or tidying that would make the roads or footpaths safer and more pleasant then please let a member of the ASBO Team know and we will do our best to help.

The main photograph shows members of the Team with the new brushcutter and a plaque from the Co-operative which hopefully will be displayed in the Village Hall. Other photographs show some of the team having a practice with the new piece of equipment and afterwards working on the lower end of Pylle Road.
