Wedding

At 1.15pm on Saturday 29th August 2009 Emily Eavis, married long-term boyfriend Nick Dewey, in the Pilton Methodist Chapel. Both Michael and Emily arrived in style at the Chapel aboard a converted East German 'cold war' IFA jet plane built and driven by Joe Rush.

Emily and Nick were joined by around 180 friends and family for the 45-minute service which was conducted by Dorcas Hewish with readings by Marianne Johnson and John Nien. Later they were joined by a further 35 guests at the reception which was held in the Tithe barn. Among the guests were Lily Allen, Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers. Nick is a music producer who manages bands including the Chemical Brothers, and met Emily around 5 years ago while campaigning for Oxfam. The couple left the following Monday for a two week honeymoon in Brazil. Congratulations to you both.
