The Pilton playing field has taken the blame for many a defeat over the years, not only by football teams but it was even half blamed one year for the accumulation of water and subsequent mud at the Pilton Party Barn Dance. But, those days are soon to become a far distant memory, in the same way that the infamous Yeovil Town FC was one renowned for its slope, there was said to be an 8 foot drop between one end of the Pilton field and the other. So, no more excuses... because soon everyone will be starting on a level playing field.
