A Marie Curie Cancer Care Tea Party was held on Tuesday 2nd June at Lorien, Top Street the home of Ann Pratt, the current President of the Inner Wheel of Shepton Mallet. It was a gloriously hot afternoon and whilst many people favoured the warmth of the sun, most craved for the cooler shade of the hedges, trees and various umbrellas. The ladies of Inner Wheel ran three stalls, plants, cakes and bring and buy as well as a raffle. Tea and cakes were on constant supply to all who came and who generously gave £470 with a further wonderful donation making it up to £500. A huge thank you to all who supported this event.
