Since it's launch in July 2006, Pilton.com has grown tremendously in popularity and has received several awards including 'Best Community Website in Somerset'. The size of the site has also expanded greatly and it now produces well over 135 pages and in excess of 2,000 photographs making it we believe by far the largest community website in the UK.

From the outset, Pilton.com has been designed, created, published and financed privately and remained free to view, free to promote events, free to publish articles and free to advertise.

The flip side to all this good news is that as pilton.com continues to grow in both size and popularity so do the costs of producing it. That's why we are now having to seek funding in order to ensure that the site can continue to thrive.
