The official opening of the Pilton Village allotments took place between 2.30 and 4.30 on the afternoon of Sunday 5th July 2009.

This was the first 'open afternoon' for the allotments at the end of Top Street when anyone from the village could come and check on the progress of the many residents that have been busy digging, planting and watering for the last six months. At 3.00pm Michael Eavis planted a commemorative tree at the top of the plot of land that he donated to the village earlier in the year.
