Pilton.com has received another award. It was presented by the Community Council for Somerset at their annual awards night held just outside Bridgewater on 11th September and received on behalf of the village by Lea Eden. The Council make these awards each year when they judge the best of the various types of communication within Somerset.

In addition to the best websites, the Community Council also present awards for the 'Best Village News Letter' and of course the ‘Best Overall Village’.

Unlike last year, when the website category was divided into local council areas, the groups this time were broken down into small, medium and large villages to fall in line with the way that the villages themselves are traditionally judged. (Pilton is apparently medium...)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have helped to make this award possible. Not only everyone from the village that continually support and contribute towards pilton.com but everyone around the world who regularly view it, use it and write in.

For those that simply can't wait until this website is updated again... Pilton.com is featured in the September edition of 'The Mendip Times Magazine'. (Available in all good waiting rooms).
