Now and Then The Pilton Bus Shelter The Ageing Suave Broompushing Operatives (ASBO) Team have recently completed cleaning and redecorating the interior of the bus shelter. It was previously painted in dark green and looked quite drab and luckily there was little graffiti. There were broken bottles and empty cans strewn across the floor together with cigarette ends and sweet papers and lots of leaves. The remains of a fire were quite visible in one corner. All in all it was not a comfortable place to wait for a bus. We have painted it off white which we believe is a better colour and coated the bench with a seal. The exterior of the roof was starting to get overgrown with Ivy and brambles so they have been removed as have the grass and weeds at the front. The footpath and road has also been cleared down to the telephone box. We hope that those using the bus shelter find it more pleasant. ASBO Team.
