A little more of Pilton's Lost History

The following two photographs have been kindly e-mailed to pilton.com by Diana Knowles from Sutton Coldfield. Diana writes:

"Having looked at the Pilton website, which I found very interesting (and I do appear on one of the school photos) I am enclosing a couple of  photos that may be of interest for your gallery.

I am Diana Boyce, daughter of Thomas Boyce, but now married and living in Sutton Coldfield. My married name is now Knowles, and we often visit my brother John, and family, and of course beautiful Pilton.

One photo is of my father having just made the Pilton Church Gates in memory of Mr. W. Hunter-Bond, and the other is the Pilton Mother's Union Outing in about 1952. staring Ena Grant, Dora Lovell, Gretie Watch, Winnie Boyce, Mildred Henderson and Vera Darch.  Best Wishes Diana".

Thanks to Diana these two photographs have now been added to the Historic pictures of Pilton in the History Section.
