The Wedding of Jasmine Eavis and Paul Barker

When the wedding was first planned nobody would have been thinking "will everyone be able to get there?" but at 2.00pm on Saturday 18th December Pylle (and its Church) was covered in some of the heaviest snow that we had seen for years. Thankfully the weather only stopped a couple of people from making the day and provided lots of great travel adventure stories from those that did.

The Wedding ceremony was led by the Reverend Christine Donkersely of Ditcheat and was followed by a reception at Charlton House in Shepton Mallet. Around 50 guests (including many Pilton village locals) attended the wedding reception and the evening reception, making it a very special day for both Jasmine and Paul. Very best wishes and congratulations to you both.

"Michael reminded Jasmine that he had known her since she was 2 years old - while renting accommodation at Worthy.

To ensure the 'bride' got to church on time, Michael took Jasmine and her brother, Christian who gave Jasmine away, and the two boys Thom Eavis and Ollie Eavis to the church with Liz in a second Land Rover in case the first car broke down.  The procession to the church was via the back roads to Pylle to ensure a late arrival for the bride.

We continue to be amazed by the love and support received from the village and look forward to the Xmas period.
I come from a place called Barrow-in-Furness and never thought I would meet and marry the most beautiful woman in the world and set up our home in Pilton". (PAUL)

The Pylle church is the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen Church, which Jasmine is a member of and looked like a winter wonderland.
