HISTORIC CONTENT 2006 of The Village Hall Building and Fund Raising. A giant thermometer has been placed outside the Village Hall. It shows how much money has been raised so far and equally important how much we still need to achieve. Please keep an eye on it whenever you are passing and help to raise the temperature when you can! 
Photographs taken 1st August 2006 The Hog Roast and Jazz Evening (July 06) Thanks to Finn and everyone that helped in the organisation and preparations for the Hog Roast and Jazz evening on Saturday 15th July, more money has been raised towards the Village Hall Fund. Over 140 people attended Steanbow Farm for the glorious summer evening event that was spent enjoying good food, good company and the great sound of The Wizards of Avalon. Thank you to all that attended and we'll hope to see you at the next event! (July '06) The building work on our Village Hall continues to go well. Finishing touches are now being applied to both the interior and exterior of the building and the fixtures and fittings are now being added. The lift has been tested and is working well, the paintwork is now being applied and the entire project is due for completion in about five weeks time. Once the building is ready, we plan to provide a number of facilities that should prove useful to many people. Charges for letting parts or all of the complex next to the Working Men's Club are currently being worked out and these will be available from early in the autumn from Wendy Lynn. Please don't forget that fund raising for the Village Hall continues and we still need to raise more capital. A Thermometer showing how much has been raised so far will soon be placed outside the Hall to let everyone know exactly how much we still need to raise. Please keep your eye on it whenever you are passing and please help out where you can. As you will have seen, the date for the grand opening of the Hall has been set for Saturday 16th September (please put a note in your diaries) but before then, there are still a number of great opportunities to raise funds in enjoyable ways. Please come along and support them whenever you can.
