Finally confirmed, Sir Tom Jones WILL be performing at this years Glastonbury Festival.

Ever since Sir Toms name was linked with the event earlier in the year, there has been much speculation about the possibility of an appearance, and now it’s certain. The Welsh legend will definitely touch the ‘green green grass of Glastonbury’ 2009.

Born 7th June 1940 Sir Tom Jones first appeared on stage in the 1960’s as front man ‘Tommy Scott’ with Tommy Scott and the Senators. Sir Toms career has spanned over 47 years during which time the 68 year old has had over 30 million sales world wide. Best known for ‘Delilah’, ‘It’s not unusual’, The Green Green Grass of Home, ‘What’s new Pussy Cat?’ and more recently ‘Sex Bomb’ his last appearance at the Festival was in 1992.

Sir Tom has asked that any ladies planning to throw their knickers bring a clean supply as he’s heard that after a few days at Glastonbury worn ones can get quite ‘muddy’!
